那會讓 Bibiji(他的妻子)和他笑得前後翻仰。
Yogiji Relaxed Moments
Sometimes when we think of a Spiritual Teacher, we picture him as very serious person. However, relaxation and playfulness were very much needed and a welcome experience.
Since he was so connected to the Divine energy, Yogiji also delighted in the innocence of a child, the fun of being goofy and the reverence of being humble. This brought much joy and laughter to those who were blessed to witness and share these relaxed moments with him.
Through her images and stories, Soorya Kaur (staff member of Yogi Bhajan) was able to capture many of these times in her book, YogiJi – The Light of Our Souls, written in 2005.
She shared this image and these words on page 8 of this book.
“In his relaxed moments, Yogiji often displayed a child-like mischievousness. He would tell jokes in his mother tongue, Punjabi. That would keep Bibiji (his wife) and him in splits of laughter. The essence of the jokes were lost in translation, so, we could never really be a part of these occasions. However, we joined in their laughter anyway!”
In this picture, taken at the Ranch in August 1987, he has hurriedly put a turban on his loose wet hair, possibly to see an unexpected visitor.
